Dear All I have a problem regarding showing historical data on my HMI TP1200 Comfort panel. For Simulation in Wincc Runtime Advanced I can see the historical data trend but when I run it on HMI with actual value the historical data trend is not showing. Can anyone help on this. And theres some question which is not clear for me which is :- 1. Do the historical trend needed PLC tag or internal tag from HMI is sufficient in order for it to generate historical data trend? 2. Is the files not saved into the USB is one of the reason why the historical data not showing in HMI? I have created historical data log that will save in format of CSV to the path of USB but it is not saved there when I try to run so maybe it can be one of the factor causing the historical trend not showing? Please help me on this issue Thank you very much ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Hi Saufi, On the one hand, AFAIK both PLC tags and internal HMI tags can logged to the datalog. On the other hand, if you configured the datalog to be saved to the USB and that doesn't work I would say that is probably the root cause of your issue. In this case first of all I would check the USB specification as it must be formated as FAT32 and it's also highly recommended to use USB 2.0. From my previous experience with datalogging to USB I have experienced some issue when I used USB with more than 4GB capacity even if in the manual is stated that 32GB is supported. I order to know if the cause is because a TIA Portal I would check if data is displayed in the trend view object using the option "Real time values" (I mean without logging the data to the datalog) Have a look also at this information from TIA Portal manual https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109798671/136149496331 I hope you find this information useful. Hi Cocolino Thanks for the answer and it helps me gain new knowledge on this issue. But it seems that the issue is still there. For the real time values, it shows just fine and I have tallied with actual values and it shows no problem. But as for historical data it still doesn't show in my trend view, As for the USB I am currently using 32GB sandisk with FAT32 format. I have tried with other HMI which is TP1500 comfort but it is still not showing. I am using only Internal Tags from HMI. Can you help me clarify on some things? One thing that I am curious is do I need to specify the path of my usb(such as D:/ Ive tried but theres some error showing cannot have :\) or just select the default path of USB from TIA? As for now I am only using the default path of USB without adding anything. |

Hi Saufi, Very strange behaviour. 1.- Have you tried with a different USB? 2.- I think this could not be the root cause but just to try. Same behaviour if PLCs tags used? 3.- Which exact TIA Portal version including updates are you using? 4.- Could you please attach some screenshot of your datalog configuration? In addition, as far as i know inside the TIA Portal project folder there is a folder called IM that contains some temporary file that can become corrupted and that leads to a misbehaviour. So i suggest you to follow the instruction from the following FAQ. https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109778709 Hope it helps. Br, Cocolino |
