From an earlier experience I am pretty sure that I need to set up the network connection somewhere in WinCC - but I cannot find it. 

I don't mean the PG/PC setting - I already set that one.

So - where in WinCC is the network connection configured?

I will naturally need to check both the settings you are mentioning.

I know how to find the one under Simatic Shell so that is OK.

But where in WinCC (please see the screenshot) do I find the "S7 Protocol suite" you are talking about?

I is not clear what you mean, Do you mean with Server Client Connection?

-> then open Windows Explorer-> This computer-> Simatic Shell -> Settings-> here you have to set  the Terminaladapter

(and do not forget Remote Communication if you use Server/Client or Webnavigator)

-> Or Communication to PLC -> then open the S7 Protocol suite-> rightclick on TCPIP-> System Parameters Unit-> set here a logical Access Point and then set this Access Point also in PGPPC Interface settings

-> And check if you have installed SIMATIC Net PC Software (the Drivers comes with this)

Thanks - I should also check the connection parameters - even though I think it is already correct.

I THOUGHT I saw another place it was set up (something about a S7 connection) in WinCC but it seems I am remembering wrong - I cant find it and no one mentions it.
