I have a faceplate wich contains a button I want to add to an authorization level. For some reason it's greyed out. Is there any solution? Can I add the whole faceplate to an authorization level instead?

 I'm using WinCC Advanced V17.0.

In principle, the button that you have configured in the faceplate should be able to be assigned an authorization so that certain users with permissions can use it and other cannot.

Are you configuring the authorization from the type editor or from the image itself? You should be able to assign user authorization to the button from the element's type editor.
