DIKE Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	How plc program get information from Simoreg Dc drive through Profibus Dp? In my observation Touch panel gets fault message from PLc program form DB 50 .DBX 43.3. I can assign a tag from plc .But how PLC get that information from Simoreg DC master.

gumis Posts: 45 Rating: (0)	The amount of information which PLC gets from SIMOREG depends on PPO type. You can specify the PPO type in Hardware file in Simatic Manager. For instance,if you use PPO3 ( control word 1 and status word 1 are sent from PLC to SIMOREG), you will get status word 1 and speed feedback from SIMOREG to PLC. This will be written to Peripheral Memory. The easiest way to read this iformation is to make UDTs. I hope this will help.

I want to get actual field or armature current from simoreg and set that information to PLC memory for display purpose.I can create tag in wincc flexible for that memory location.But my question is how can i get actual current form simoreg? There is any default memory location in PLC? or We need to create any separate DB for that function? Please give me some example.....

When you make settings in hardware configuration with adding of GSD file for Simoreg, you could choice between different type (different numbers of words that will exchange data between PLC and Simoreg). Set PPO type 5. In your case needs to receiving I_a actual current. This should be set first in Drive Monitor - paremeter P734.3 or 4 or...=K117. And let's say addresses in hardware configuration are start from 256. So in Step7 (easiest way) use L and T functions. For example Load the third word (260) and transfer to some MW... I suggest you to look at drive's manual - SIMOREG DC Master 6RA70; software version 3.1 . Then here you could find some examples about communication between drive and PLC. (Sorry not the same type like yours but the way (the style) is the same). Hope this will helps. Best regards Hristo Mihalev

Now i think about all parameter list and i need time for further discussion. Just use the left part of Drive monitor and there you could easier to navigate with all parameters devided by category. (Setpoint, Communication...). About yours FCs - can you give more details about them? From where you will use? Some library or... regards Hristo Mihalev
