CPU 314C-2 Interfacing Issue with WinCC

Tech Ahmed Experienced Member Joined: 1/16/2012 Last visit: 6/30/2025 Posts: 127 Rating: (2)	Dear Experts, I have WinCC installed and it is running fine with all PLCs that are communicating through PROFIBUS via IE/PB module with the WinCC server. Now I want to add one new PLC that is CPU 314C-2 PN/DP installed in rack # 0 slot # 2 and configured in TIA V16. I have set up the TCP/IP driver in WinCC and used the same IP, rack, and slot but the communication is not getting up. The IP address I can ping from the WinCC server. If yes, what that TCP/IP driver does? TCP/IP is very general comm protocol. I sthere any other protocol for selection? MB TCP or S7 via PN port?

MB TCP or S7 via PN port? Hi Duris Thank you for your reply. All other PLCs are PB DP and are communicating via IE/PB link through the OPC driver in WinCC explorer. This new S7300 PLC has both options PB and PN so I have chosen the PN port and choose TCP/IP driver. There is an industrial ethernet driver is also available in the driver list. But I have no idea what is the difference between TCP/IP driver and an Industrial Ethernet driver. Best regards Tech Ahmed

Hello Ahmed this only shows that the license is installed. you have to check if the Simatic Net PC software is installed is installed Software on the OS. and the Errorcode will help to check whats wrong Bye Murof
