Hi, I´m trying to read an HMITag from a faceplate, knowing the name of the tag, by script.

 For example: I have 3 HMITags, Text1, Text2, and Text3, and a property named selection(int), selecting 1, 2 or 3, it should get de value of  'TextX' and put it in a textbox of the faceplate.

I'm using WinCC Unified RT, TIA Portal v17

Hi gaborey,

You can't use an HMI variable directly in the faceplate, you have to use an intermediate variable that acts as a bridge between the HMI variable and the faceplate. When you insert the faceplate you have a tab called "Tags" where you name a variable that will be used in the faceplate. Then when you call the faceplate from the image, in "Tags" you can associate the HMI variable to it.
