The OPC UA Client is available since WinCC V7.0 SP2 and does not require a separate licence. WinCC has received an OPC UA Server for the first time in version 7.2, which initially only supported the Data Access and Historical Data Access specifications. For access to the WinCC alarm system, the OPC UA specification Alarms and Conditions is required. WinCC supports this since version 7.3 as server and since version 7.5 as client. To operate the WinCC OPC UA Server, the Connectivity Pack option (subject to licence) is required. Which OPC speification do you want to use? (OPC UA, or OPC DCOM based?)
