I have a WinCC V7.5 and Wonderware application and I need some assistance.

In the Wonderware HMI application, we change the transformer tap of 10 buttons using the TAP1tag values, which are set as "TAP1tag==1", "TAP1tag==2"....."TAP1tag==10".
For information, in wonderware used a common PLC address for 10 buttons is = DB79.DBD48.

Recently, I migrated to a WinCC V7.5 server/client architecture and now need to execute the TAP changing action using VB script in each button.

To achieve this, I have written a VB script in each button as follows:

Sub OnClick(ByVal Item)

Dim TagName

TagName = "TAP1tag"

WriteValue TagName,1

End Sub

i have also tried by simply writing SetTagByte("TAP1tag",1); for each button, But its not executing or passing the value to the PLC.

I would appreciate if you could kindly confirm whether this script will execute properly and pass the value to the PLC logic when pressing the button before I download it to the servers.

Additionally, if you have any suggestions or recommendations to improve the script, I would be grateful for your input.
