WinCC 7.0 problem connecting to db

When runtime start we got a error on connecting to the product DB, the project contains a lot of add-in modules from the manufacturer itself, the code is written in VBS. I managed to find the code string that generate the problem. So the process is running to 70% and then it needs to connect to the DB, unfortunately then it get stuck. Boki_SU Bronze Member Joined: 7/1/2013 Last visit: 10/30/2025 Posts: 87 Rating: (4)	These logs you have pasted are result of database operations made by runtime itself regardless of your app. Can you locate a code that is responsible for connecting your app to the SQL server, how does it look like ? Look at function AttachWinCCDBToSQLServer() connection string might be there.

This are no standard functions. check here. Normally a SQL Access (also if you use the WinCC SQL Server instance) is made in VB Script with a Connections string with ODBC and here you will need a ODBC Datasource I would check here Bye Murof
