Hi, I'm working on a multiclient installation built on WinCC Runtime Professional v17: -2 Clients -1 Server Our issue is that when you try to change screen in any of the clients, the transition is painfully slow. When the new screen is finally opened, every tag, button or popup window inside the screen works fine and quickly. We only have this behaviour in the two clients, while the server changes screens quickly enough. I did some previous research and check several faqs available in the support, finding some interesting option available in WinCC clasic related to store screen images on PDLCache folder: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/cr/en/view/492902 Do you know if there is any similar option for WinCC Professional? I think if we could have screen stored in the client cache we could prevent our issue. Pd: Previously, we had an installation with the same distribution but working on WinCC Runtime Professional v13, and this issue didnot happen. |

Hi JuanGFM, First of all I recommend you to install the latest update, both in the engineering software and in the runtime, I attach the download links: Updates para STEP 7 V17, S7-PLCSIM V17 y WinCC V17 Updates para WinCC Runtime Professional V17 Additionally: 1- Do you have a terminal bus with your own network card? It is not recommended to share a card with the plant bus. 2- Which version of Windows are you using?

Hello JuanGFM you should check if all your stations are set up correctly using this FAQ: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/de/en/view/108464289 I Think in WinCC Prof the PDL Cache should also work (I never tried...): https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/de/en/view/982658 In WinCC Prof you only have uniclients, so this FAQ should be right. I would give it a try Bye Murof |
