I want to import a WinCC explorer project to a STEP7 project.

I went to Options -> OS import and selected my project and I got a message that only says "error while importing".

In the help I saw that if an error occurs, there should be a log file in the winccom folder but I didn't find one.

How can I know what is wrong?

Do you install the AS_OS Engineering from your WinCC DVD ?

I had myself the same problem (Error when trying to import a WinCC project to STEP7).

running with the following versions:

     STEP7:   V5.6 + SP2

     WinCC:   V7.5 SP2 Upd11  K7.5.2.11

I´ve solved the problem this way:

    - Closed STEP7

    - opend the WinCC-project with WinCC-Explorer

    - started the runtime

    - closed the runtime and closed the WinCC-project / closed WinCC-Explorer

    - opened STEP7 and imported the WinCC project successfully
