Hi,

I'm trying to connect to a TP700 to CPU315-2 DP using MPI from the IF1 B port on the HMI.

I don't see anywhere in the HMI config (ie. Windows CE Control Panel) where I enable that port or set it to talk MPI as opposed to Profibus.  I can set the "transfer" method to MPI or DP or Profinet, or whatever, but that sounds to me like it's the method by which one would download the application from a PC to the HMI.  Can someone confirm this?

I've seen similar application questions posted several times on this forum but none of the threads I've seen have a definite "yes this works and here's the fix".  Are these devices compatible?  If so. is it version specific?  The options are there in the WinCC software, so presumably it should work, but so far I have no clear indication that it does.  Any suggestions?

- I'm using a profibus cable with profibus connectors

- Terminators are set ON at both ends

- Using TIA Portal V17 Update 4

- Communications setup window attached.
