WinCC, more programers for one project

Martinus Posts: 8 Rating: (3)	Hello, We have the project on server. What we have to do, if we want to edit this WinCC project by twoprogramers in same time from different PCs. For example one will make alarms and second one will make scripts. Thank you for help.

Martinus Posts: 8 Rating: (3)	Hello, The S7 project with WinCC togheter are onthe PC1. We made sharing of the project on this PC1. With second PC2 I want to open this shared project also. But if this project is opened on PC1 then I can't openit onPC2and backwards with WinCC 7.1version. For S7 it is no problem. etc. FC1 I can read and edit on PC1 and FC2 I can open a read on the PC2 in the same time. Question is how can I do it for WinCC? Thank's

This means that it is not possible for different people opening in different location and working concurrently. There are some workarounds. For example you can make a backup copy of the project and somebody works on this backup copy on the Graphic Editor and modifies them , while somebody else is working on the scripts on another. Later they copy the relevant .pdl files and/or modified .bmo files But what is essential is that changes to Tags, Connections and alarms has to be on the main one. WinCC File Server is only to maintain the Project. It does regular backups etc and maintains the relevant files.. In short it maintains stability of the project. But they do not provide any multi user environment. Krish

Niranjan Prasad Posts: 691 Rating: (37)	you can't open one WinCC programme in more than one PC at a time ; because WinCC server PC Name won't match you can do one thing copy the Project in the other PC and change the PC Name whatever changees you are making put that in the Respective Project Folders
