Hi,

I have the following PLC and im setting up the network via media converter SCALANCE switch

1. PLC1 (CPU1513-1, HMI, IM155-6 PN ) 

Project name- PLC1, HMI, IO device 1

2. PLC4 (CPU1516-3, HMI, IM155-6 PN x2 )

Project name - PLC1, HMI, IO device 1, IO device 2

3. PLC2 (S7-400, HMI)

Project name - pn-io, HMI

I have no error when i connect PLC2 & PLC1. But as soon as i make connection with PLC4 in sometime i receive error like IO device failure, & Profinet device name exists multiple times.

I have unique IP address for all the devices in the network .. I am attaching a brief report where i have asked my question .. If i change the device name of IO device 1 & PLC1   to IO device 1_plc4 & PLC4 ... does my problem solve ...

or i also need to assign IP address to three scalance switches with unique device names ... including changing the names of three HMI in the network to unique ones ALSO or is this step not necessary... ??
