Hello all, I have a 6ES7 155-6MU00-0CN0 with 3 Profisafe F-DI cards installed, 1x 6BA00-0CA0 2x 6BA01-0CA0 However 2 / 3 slots after booting up and configuring the parameters / F Destination addresses are flashing red with a fault saying Mismatch of Safety destination address. I have tried recompiling, downloading, rebooting, etc, and recompiling and downloading the FC300 safety blocks as well. After researching I found this article What should you check when the F destination addresses cannot be assigned? - ID: 109743502 - Industry Support Siemens and I also found the Siemens webpage for the S7-FCT v3.1. (Edited after Sancruz post we are using 3.1) Appropriately, I am using a GSDML file for the 6MU00 base unit on my Profinet network, so when I am online with the S7 PLC hardware config I cannot right click the rack and select "Name F-Addresses" so according to Siemens I must use the FCT v3.0 software However no matter how I am connected to the PLC and safety rack I cannot get the FCT v3.1 software to "See" the profisafe cards, even the one that is showing as properly addressed. Is there a way to get the FCT v3.1 software to properly connect to this safety card and cards so I can address them and clear this fault? Please see attachments FCT v3 Unavailable. Thank you! |

Hello Sancruz, Thanks for the reply. I will have to try your suggestions and get back to you, as well as gather the info requested about the base modules. We are using version 3.1 of the FCT tool I apologize for that typo. Since making the post it is worth mentioning that we have resolved the Original issue, which was that we needed to Assign the F-Addresses to the Profisafe cards. Here is what we had to do to fix the original issue.
Thanks for your reply. Now that I have a functioning ET200S rack and cards, I am going to try to see if I can get the FCT tool talking to them. Perhaps like you said I need to be connected directly to the ET200S or perhaps I need to upgrade S7 v5.6 to the latest patch. I don't know what the order # of the backplane modules is without taking the rack apart which I am not going to be able to do at the moment. For some reason most electrical prints do not like to list these despite their importance! I have attached a picture of the online hardware configuration with the "Name F-Addresses" option when right-clicking. Please note this Context option does NOT appear if using the Firmware v4.2 GSDML files of this particular 155-6AU01-0BN0 ET200SP unit. I do not understand why the device is running with a version 4.1 hardware configuration file but the actual flashed Firmware of the device is 4.2, and everything is fine! I still want to determine why the FCT 3.1 tool cannot see the rack or the devices on it. Thanks, Liz |

Last update: Please go ahead and close this / mark as answered. As it turns out, we are using an older Schema of the GSD file for the 155-6AU01-0BN0 ET200S rack. This older Schema of the GSD supports the "Name F-Addresses" dialogue option for assigning Profisafe addresses, and the newer Schema does Not. The newer Schema (for Firmware version 4.1 and v4.2) forces you to install the FCT v3.1 tool and then adds the additional option to "Start Device Tool" with FCT v3.1 at the bottom of the context menu in order to "assign Profisafe addresses". See link to GSD Files for this particular ET200SP. I don't know which date of GSD we are using. This machine was installed in 2020 so probably older than that. PROFINET GSD files: I/O - ET 200SP - ID: 57138621 - Industry Support Siemens I don't understand why this is set up this way. but hopefully this post helps someone else. |
