Hi everyone,

I'm trying to make communicate the PLC NX1 with a Unified PC RT V17 over the Ethernet IP, with no success.

I have just spot on the connections section of the WinCC, that the communication driver is meant for CPU CJ1 Series and not for the NX or NJ.

However, I've tried anyway to make it work creating an I/O Field in a page with a bool Tag.

Setting the device connection on CJ1 Series, I can see the I/O field Online (Offline with PLC turned OFF), but cannot see the tag variate.

Has anybody experienced something like that or succeded with a NX1 CPU?

As you have seen, the Omron NX and NJ PLC models do not have Communication Support Packages (CSP) for WinCC Unified in TIA Portal

Therefore, to communicate with these PLCs, you must do so through OPC or through Omron Host Link

yes, I've discovered that such a communication is not possible with NX and NJ Series Omron PLCs.

By the way, I've appreciated the possibility to enstablish an ethernet IP communication with the Siemens PLC, so for the moment I can arrange a 1211 used as gatewy and communicate with the Unifed SCADA over profinet.

Since, this communication drive hasn't been added in the V18, I wish it could be inserted in the V19.
