Web-navigator client connection problem

gigor Posts: 12 Rating: (2)	Hello. I have troubles with WebNavigator client connection. 1. I have server-side part of the system all set up and running 2. I have installed WebNavigator client on couple PC, and it worked just fine. 3. Then I've installed it on another PC, installation was OK, connection with Web-server is also OK. But then, when I try to connect, I'm asked for user credentials, enter it, then - changing messages "connecting to server" - "done" - and then "failed to load http://mywinnccserver/main.PD_" Windows XP internal firewall and all anivirus software is disabled. What could it be and where to search? Thank you

gigor Posts: 12 Rating: (2)	Problem solved! We found, that it was not enough to turn out Antivirus protection, it was also necessary separatly to disable it's web-protection component. For those using Kaspersky Antivirus - be aware! :-)

I had trouble with this AVwhen my IT-guy switched from Norton AV. It required 2 shits of paper to write down every single regression of AV settings until WebNavigator run OK (but slower). Dec

IE7 WebNavigator Client V07.00.00.00_01.19.00.06 No antivirus installed on server, eTrust on remote PC. The webnavigator client is clearly loading inside internet explorer but then the message "Failed to load http://scada/Pictures/start.PD_" Datamonitor is also on the same server and operates correctly. I have tried different user credentials to no avail. The system was working fine up until today when I added users in WinCC and Windows for using Datamonitor. Previous to this, Datamonitor was installed but not being used. Any suggestions? Thanks, Justin.

I suspected some sort of authentication problem as a user with only WinCC credentials does not get any access to the system. A user with both WinCC and Windows credentials gets access to the system but the pages do not load in webnavigator. I have since fixed this problem with help from the Siemens support. Their solution was to uninstall Webnavigator and IIS then reinstall both. This has worked but I don't know what the original cause of the failure was. Cheers, Justin.

While testing with server-client architecture, I came to know that only 20 Excel workbooks (Reports) were generated after this sytem started Overwriting the oldest report. So at given time I can have only 20 no of Excel Reports. Any idea from anybody, how to overcome this limitation ?
