Looking for missing GSDML files

SS_PLC_ENG Regular Member Joined: 2/27/2016 Last visit: 4/16/2024 Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	Hello everyone, I have a PLC installed and running and i want to keep backup of the Running program so i Connected the MPI cable and upload to station to PG. I face the following issue. The GSDML files are missing and my hardware configuration does not show the IO modules. (Picture Attached) GSDML-V2.35-Siemens-ET200SP-20200619.xml GSDML-V2.35-Siemens-ET200MP-20200303.xml GSDML-V2.34-Siemens-PNPNIOC-20180626.xml So far i have searched internet and could not find these files. I tried the hardware update tool and perform update catalog also. but no success. I wonder when i run the Hardware update through internet why it could not get these files. im using simatic manager V5.6+HF1 Please help. Attachment hw config.PNG (1222 Downloads)

STEP7 v5.6 doesn't natively support those new hardware, so you need search the GSDML file from SIOS, with the order number of the module. Then download it and install them.

MAYBE I AM LOOKING IN THE WRONG PLACES. I HAVE ATTACHED THE SNAP FROM SIOS. PLEASE IF SOMEONE CAN SEARCH IT FOR ME I GREATLY APPRECIATE IT. I FOUND V2.34 FROM SIOS BUT V2.35 IS NOT AVAILABLE WHICH IS SHOWING MISSING IN THE SIMATIC MANAGER REGARDS Attachment Capture1.JPG (1039 Downloads)

GSDML-V2.35-Siemens-PNPNIOC-20200924.xml

Kindly have a look at the snip here. i think the required file is for im155-5 where as the link you shared is for IM155-6. I tried it anyway and it did not solve the issue. Actually i downloaded and installed all the links you provided. but it seems there is some version difference that is not allowing it to work. for PNPN coupler also it need that specific file. otherwise it keeps on givving the error below If anyone can find the exact file. regards, Sameer

You can only ask the creator of the program. If I were you, I would start a Support Request. Siemens can at least tell you whether if this are customer-specific GSDML files or not.
