I am having issues with my graphic designer as it is unable to open some of my pdl files (mostly faceplates). The screens and other faceplates are able to be opened in the designer. Attached is the error I get when I try to open the pdl files with such issues.

The version of WinCC explorer I am using is V8.0.0.0. The project was recently migrated from V7.3 to V8.0. I have tried deleting the @project.pdt and .sav files but the issue was not resolved.

In this case, what I would recommend would be to try to copy directly the PDL file of the screen that you are having a failure trying to open, and paste it into the V8 project directory. PDLs are stored in the GRACS directory.

I have pasted the PDLs directly into the V8 project directory but when I open them, they are just empty screens. I also renamed the SAV files but still got the same result. I checked the file details of these PDL and found them to be 0 bytes in size. The SAV files also are 0 bytes in size.
