WinCC Explorer V7.0 - Sending Internal texttag @Username to PLC s7-300

I used function GetTagChar and SetTagChar, got no results. I tried to send the texttag directly froum source to destination, but still received empty field during the online check. Anyone have any working method to succesfully send Username to PLC? I need this to finish project about Cyclic user password change. Many thanks in advance, Kampejron.

I use WinCC Explorer v7.0, not Tia portal or WinCC Flexible. So, to the point, I'm trying do it by internal instructions int value; int value2; value = GetTagWord(@currentUser); value2=value; value2=SetTagWord(Current_User); Did I use correct type of variable? I need to read from wincc only 6 characters (by String[6]) but i don't know what kind of variable use to send it to PLC. Anyone know what should i do?

Why do you want to do this with C Script-> here you have to know what you do (its very easy to program access violations and memory leaks) If you need to the check this FAQs for a basic knowledge: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/de/en/view/7929092 If you can also use VBS I would do so, then the handling is much less complicated Bye Murof
