I need to establish the communication between these all station and withone or two operating station.The operating station having wincc7.0 SCADA software. Please Let me know by using which protocol, we can achieve this task. Can Anyone provide System configuration suggestionforthis application???? Aru

We had proposed for a similar configuration a couple of years back. Now laying 500km of optical cable and maintaining it was not feasible. So we had gone for direct uplink to a satellite through VSAT. We used a ethernet CP (343-1) to connect to VSAT router forming a WAN.In tests it worked fine, though we didn't implement it as the order was awarded to a different company. Now I don't think WinCC can support 57*2=104 different IE channels (maximum 64). So you can buy a couple of 400 PLCs with a few CP443s attached to each of them. These S7-400 PLCs are to talk to these redundant 57 remote PLCs over the WAN and then in turn communicate to your WinCC station. Another solution for your case is probably using GPRS. Sinaut telecontrol. I have never worked with them but may be they can suit your need if you have good GSM network available around all of your 57 remote location.

In SWR, only oneconnection is configured in WinCC and a C script is used to switch between the 2 PLCs by changing IP address but still on the same connection. However, 57 connectionsare still representing a very big communication load. The solution proposed by Daga is very good. CPUs dedicated for communication are recommended in such cases. Best regards.
