Hi

I am running a WinCC runtime Professional V14 on a server ( Windows 2012 R2 ). The Service OPC UA ServerwinCC is Paused in the windows Services ( please see the attached picture ). 

The WinCC runtime is running on the server. And i tried to restar the WinCC Runtime many times but the problem is alyaws here ( Service paused )

Any idea about this problem ?

In my infromations, we dont need a licence to use the OPC server with WinCC Runtime Professional V14 SP1

And it was working good for many months.

Hello Auto2018888,

do you have a license for WinCC Connrctivity Pack on your PC ?
The OPC UA Server will not start, if you would not have
such a license on the PC.

Check at first from your operating system if service OpcUAserverWinCCPro is running

If not do you have a valid Runtime license.

You not need any connectivity pack license but a valid runtime license.

Check from event log if the program OpvUAServerWinCCPro.exe is crashed.

If only the OPC Connection is broken use the OPCScout V10 to check the connection

The service OpcUaserverWinCCPro is paused. For the licence, i have a valid WinCC runtime professional licence. 

After checking the event log, i found this exception : 

A low level communication error occurred ( 0x80050000), channel connect failed 

For the OPC Scout, i have this message for the UA Server : Local UA server could not open UA TCP request channel.

Just a quick feedback from my side : (Some Stupid things but mandatory)

- While installing WinCC Runtime, do not forget to install the opc ua functionnality

- Apparently it needs a valid licence (runtime licence, as WinCC Connectivity Pack does not longer exist in WinCC Pro). Just puting the licence isn't enough.

A Full Restart Helps to put the services back in order. (Someone already mentionned it in a other post. Don't play manually with restarting the services. Just let WinCC do his job on restart)
