Unable to assign Profinet name to EKS-A-IIXA-STO 2/0 3/04.

gdn28 Posts: 72 Rating: (8)	Hello!! I have an EKS device installed in my station. the article number is EKS-A-IIXA-STO 2/0 3/04. When I search for the device to assign a profinet name using the filter "Devices of the same type", I cannot see the device. I get 0 devices found. I can ping the device and I can blink the LED of the device. I also tried to change the device type to EKS-A-IIXA-STO 2/0 3. I still couldn't assign the profinet name. Please help. Regards, Gdn28

Because the ping is processed based on the known ip-address. To be able to find the device via accessible nodes and to assign the device name, the DCP protocol and a MAC adress broadcast is used, which is not possible from/into another subnet. So these are differnent mechanics. regards sancruz

So these are differnent mechanics. regards sancruz Thanks for the reply I can see the device, but in the "assign name" function it sees it as "different device". The GSDML file I'm using is the latest one available, I think. ( (GSDML-V2.43-EUCHNER-EKS_2524496-20230216.XML)
