Hi all,

I have installed a new 828d cnc controller to my Hardinge cnc milling machinining centre.

Actually I converted it from the old 810d system, to the latest Sinumerik 828d system.

I connected 828d controller with Sinamic S120 Combi Driver.

Using the STARTER software everything is working fine. All Motors are working.

I also installed a new Mini hand held unit part number 6FX2007-1AD03.

However it is not working. When in jog screen, I went to the Handwheel tab,  selected the X or Y axis, pressed handwheel again. Turning the rotary knob on the handwheel does not result in any response on the screen. ( the X and Y positions on the screen remain unchanged)

The motor does not respond either.

Can it be that I need to install a licence to activate the handwheel?

If yes, is it the Extended operating Functions license?

The software version of my 828d controller is Version V04.05 +SP04
