Connect backup archive data in WinCC

Import-User-1 Posts: 3609 Rating: (29)	Hello. In Tag Logging you can activate Backup of an archive. This is OK. But then you would like to connect this backup archive with WinCC Online Trend Control. In Manual of WinCC is written: "To connect an archive file, click the RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON on "Archive Configuration" and select "Link Archive" from the pop-up menu" If I click with right mouse button, I don't get any pop-up menu. So my question is, is this because I don't have Connectivity Pack or the manual is not correct. (In manual there is nothing written about Connectivity Pack, that it should be installed to work this). Help me, please.

If you right-click on the "Archive Configuration", select Tag Logging Fast" or Tag Logging Slow" and you then get the "Link Archive" option. You do not do this from the trend control. In WinCC V6 SP3 you can programmatically link archives using VBS scripts. I have not done this but it is mentioned in the release notes. I hope this helps, Salma

Insausti Posts: 150 Rating: (2)	I'm unsing WinCC v7+SP1, i try to connect a backup data by using the connect backup button available on the WinCC Alarm Control Window. When i press the button it pop-up a window with some backups to choose but when i double-click on any of then it always shows me the same message: <backupname> could not be connected to the system. Any idea about this behaviour???

Insausti Posts: 150 Rating: (2)	Hi CBo, I knew to do it by means of Llink archive on the Tag Logging editor, what i'm talking about is to link to a backup archive on an Alarm or Trend Control Window during Runtime, using the connect backup button as i described in my previous thread (see above) Regards
