TIA Portal Openness would allow you to create your own application that can generate blocks for your PLC. However, you will not be able to make a direct download to the PLC. TIA Portal Openness will always work together with a TIA Portal project - which does not need to be opened in a visible IDE - to handle your data.

After thinking about it, you may be describing something an HMI (which can be running on a Windows PC - WinCC Runtime / Runtime Advanced) could manage as a "part recipe".

With some careful recipe design and manipulation, you may be able to define all possible sequences in small pieces, and then have the test sequence engineer configure the final parts of the recipe that select (enable) which sets of test sequences to perform and in what order.

In the PLC, your task will be to convert each possible test sequence into PLC logic, and interpret the recipe so that the proper tasks are called at in the proper order.

Perhaps if you gave a sample of the simplest and most complicated test sequence that should be available so we can perhaps offer other alternatives.

Hi everyone,

Do you know a solution to make an FC or an FB in runtime ? 
In this example, the idea is to found a solution to allow the user on the end user interface of equipment (windows application) to make a test sequence and by an undefined way push this in the PLC at runtime.

It's not very complicated to make a list of instructions and send it to the plc before the execution of sequence BUT the idea is to embedded in my application a "like" SCL editor to make a compiled block and push it into the PLC.
