Error Encountered in TIA Portal V19 When Compiling after creating OPC Server Interface and adding elements

Bhushan_braj Member Joined: 7/12/2022 Last visit: 11/19/2025 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Whenever we activate the OPC Server in TIA Portal V19 and then create a Server Interface, after adding elements to the Server Interface and compiling it, we encounter the error message 'Totally Integrated Automation Portal has encountered a problem and needs to be closed.' and TIA Portal closes. I would recommend that you update to the latest version V19 update 1 to see if this solves the problem: "Updates for TIA Portal V19" If it doesn't solve it, I would recommend opening a ticket to technical support in case they have any workaround or to register it so they can see the problem. elepalud Joined: 4/22/2024 Last visit: 12/17/2024 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	I encountered the same problem this week and scratched my head a lot because compiling was working 2 weeks prior. Siemens support indicated that a recent Windows .Net update is the likely cause. Try uninstalling Windows Update KB5037587.
