Difference between CP1613 and CP1613 A2

amateur Posts: 145 Rating: (3)	Good Morning , We want to operate a S7-400H system, with CP1613 to the SIMATIC PC station where we have installed WinCC V6.2 SP2. The OS is Win XP Pro SP2. However, we have the following question : What is the difference between CP1613 and CP1613 A2? What do we have to consider before we decide which is suitable for the specific project? Windows applications that were used together with the CP 1613, can be used with the CP 1613 A2from this version onwards without any changes of the configuration or the user software. Look at Delivery Release for the SIMATIC NET CP 1613 A2 PC Module and End of Production for SIMATIC NET CP 1613 A1 PC Module Regards Hristo Mihalev

However, one remark and correct me if I am wrong : After searching the manual and talking with other users the conclusion is this : We can have redundancy with 1 CP1613 for simple redundant connection. The case of 2 CPs, is when we want redundancy in CP1613. In our case, it is better to use one cp1613 because we don't need redundancy in CPs. with regards
