I am having a very strange problem.

problem - The cognex camera has lost communication and we have replaced all parts to rule that out.

we can see in proneta the the name is correct and the IP is correct the subnet is also correct but the gateway is 0.0.0.0 and when comparing to other devices that have no problem the gateway matches the IP address however this is not a field that can be manually entered. 

The configuration like IP address subnet and name of station are also correct in dataman setup tool.

In proneta i can see the I/O controller under "State" it says "Down". is the I/O controller the problem? its a S7-1500. Should we power cycle the PLC cabinet? If somebady has an Idea or knoiws the Problem please respond.

If all devices are in the same IP Subnet then you would not need the gateway address (also if the router Address is not configured it works in the same subnet).

does the S71500 has a display? check the IP Setting here, can you see something strange?

Of course a power cycle of the PLc could help if something is stucked
