Hi, For more information about this topic, see the following manual at page 39: PCS 7 Software update without utilization of new functions for SIMATIC PCS 7 V9.1 SP1 You probably are using an old library which is not installed on the V9 ES. Maybe it works if you compile the program without module drivers (remove checkmark: Generate module drivers during CFC Compile). You have to do that each time you start a compile. Otherwise, you need to install the old libraries used in your project. |

Hi, The Industry Library is an addon library which must be purchased. The Industry Library V8.0 is however not released for V9.0 and must be updated. You can check the Compatibility Tool to check your PCS7 version against other products to check if it's released or not. Please find enclosed the link to update the software without utilitzation of new functions. This helps you in updating the system: Software update without utilitization of new functions Please note that the V9.0 manuals is not available online anymore since it's not a supported version anymore. Also check the note at page 39. After installing the older library (APL, PCS7 library or Basic) you need to install the current PCS7 Basic library again. The "Generate module drivers" option will generate interconnections to the module drivers. These interconnections will get information from the I/O modules like which mode the analog input is set to (4-20mA for example). It will also generate a status signal to check if the I/O signal is healthy. If you do not create module drivers, every new input must be configured manually like setting the correct mode (16#8000FFFF for a digital input for example), otherwise it will result in a Bad signal. The disadvantage is that you do not have any info about the I/O signal status.
