As mentioned in the manual, the Browser object supports parameters to influence the way a PDF file is displayed. However, it does not list all the supported parameters, but a search on the web brings me to the View parameter. Adding #view=FitH (or &view=FitH if another parameter is already in use) to the end of the URL will set the PDF to fit the horizontal width.
