VIPA SLIP 015 modbus tcp/ip help

DariusB Posts: 31 Rating: (0)	Hello. Trying to program modbus TCP/IP connction with vipa slio 015, but cannot make it work. I did it with s1200 using TCON and other needed blocks, and everything is working. I never worked with older PLC such as SIEMENS 315, so have problems now, because VIPA is like . As i understand need to use modbuspn block from library. Maybe someone can upload example project in tia portal ?

There are hardware differences due to the integrated PTP interface that allows Modbus RTU connections, and the use of TIA Portal seems to be rather limited, based on their manuals. VIPA has developed its own functions for serial communications that have no similarities with Siemens implementations of similar protocols. https://vipausa.com/content/manuals/slio/HB300E_CPU_015-CEFNR00_19-22.pdf I suggest you ask VIPA for support on this CPU. On other side, you can look to any suitable Document / FAQ about Modbus TCP over S7-300 CPU PN port. What comm block is required here, is answered already 3 posts higher.
