Hello Wizard, thank you for the quick reply and a helpful link. The videos on that page confirmed what I have known already. So, you are saying that the PARTIAL backup/restore for RT and Application only is impossible, right? If so, what would be the best course of actions to get rid of (remove) the "Secure Mode" which was accidentally enabled by the user? Please consider the following scenario: 2. Nobody knows what the Secure Mode Password is. So, it is impossible to access the Control Panel, Taskbar or click on any Desktop icons. However, the main Application still can be started. 3. At this condition, I used ProSave to do a COMPLETE Backup of the HMI device and got a backup.BRF file. 4. Then, I used the "OS Update" function of ProSave to remove the Secure Mode. But the Application (all the screens and buttons that the user needed to use) is not there, of course. 5. How can I Restore (download) the Application (only!) to that HMI panel at this stage? 6. We don't have the original TIA project for this Comfort Panel device or even the Pack-and-Go package. Also, we don't have the .BRF file without the Secure Mode. Can you please advise WHAT can we do to let that HMI Panel run the Application in normal (not Secure) mode? Would it help to have a SIMATIC HMI memory card (6AV2181-8XP00-0AX0) installed in the System SD card slot (X50)? Please let me know. Thank you and Best Regards, |

Hello s4gia, Here is a link to manual: SIMATIC HMI HMI devices Comfort Panels See paragraph 4.3.6.3 The only way to remove a Password of Control panel is to perform an OS update with option Reset to factory settings. See this link: (But you will loose the project as well) Best regards, Wizard |
