I add total_flow with 30 every positive edge of pulse.

If you dont have pulse output.(as digital input)
I calculate how much flow passes every second
then i add calculated flow to totalizer every second

I am not totally agreed with Kucuk Tayyip. For a digital signal the concept is ok. But you mentioned the flow signal coming from a defined AI then you have to think in a different way.

Flow totalizer is = flow rate*time

If you do not consider the scan time of the CPU you will always doing a wrong calculation with your actual value.

For a totalizer you have to consider you scan time (may be from the OB temp parameter)
