Hi all, I need support on VMware ESXi version 6.7.0. Issue: Unable to press ctrl + alt + delete in VM Browser Console by using Microsoft Edge. The windows is lockout, i need to press ctrl+alt+delete to go to logon interface. Microsoft edge version : 132.0.2957.115. Windows : MS Windows server 2022 PCS 7 : PCS 7 V9.0 SP 3 UC06 Workaround: Use other browsers tools like google chrome or mozilla firefox. Other browsers allow us to press ctrl+alt+delete. Why we wish to use ms edge , because it can be update via WSUS. We do not require to update security patching for other browsers. |

I'm pretty sure this is a known issue in ESXi. From what I know this specific bug is present in many ESXi versions. Your idea to not install other browsers makes sense, but it might not be possible. I think your options are to: Use VMware Remote Console (VMRC) instead of browser. (now you have another software to manage risks/updates, but it's not a browser at least) Use alternate browser, even though you don't want to for browser patch management reasons. Upgrade ESXi and hope everything is working correctly afterwards. (worst/bad option for compliance/compatibility standpoint, which I'm sure you know) |

Thank you RVS, for confirming that this might be an ESXi issue. Appreciate. I was the one pushing everyone to not install additional browser, and now, it seems like I need to request an exception for this. Anyway, thank you for that. Hopefully we can a fixed or what to get this working. If not, i will push my ESXi V6 to upgrade to V7. |
