I have S7-1516-3 6ES7 516-3AN00-0AB0 v1.8

I am trying to get it's data using modbus TCP by implementing MB_SERVER block

but I am having a problem with the TCON_IP_V4

When I set the remote address to my PC IP, I cannot connect to the PLC using modscan32. But when I change the IP to 0.0.0.0 it is working just fine

Can anyone tell me what's going on?

Hi,

I believe only versions >= 4.0 of the Modbus TCP library use TCON_IP_V4 and TCON_Configured system data types at the CONNECT input parameter. This is stated here:

and the error persists, then please perform the error logic in the communication block that has the error, based on this FAQ:

How do you evaluate the status of system blocks in STEP 7 (TIA Portal)?

That is, when the 'ERROR' parameter of the communication block is set to '1', use the MOVE block to move the value of the 'STATUS' parameter of the block to an auxiliary tag. What is the value of this tag?
