Hello everyone, There is a s7-1200 plc in our factory, something was done with v14, I installed the product in the link to this plc, but when I add the module in the tia portal and download it, the plc gives an error, is it because the product has a production date of 2024 and was written with plc v14 that it gives this error? The issue is a bit urgent, I would be glad if you could help. https://mall.industry.siemens.com/m...t/?mlfb=6ES7221-3BD30-0XB0&SiepCountryCode=TR ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Hi bayhan16, In this case, it would be necessary to check the PLC diagnostic buffer to see why the equipment is malfunctioning. Could you please attach it to check what errors it jumps to see what it could be due to? Best regards!

To replace a dead s7-1200 PLC, you should only need to power off the PLC, swap PLCs, power up PLC, then load program to PLC, and then set up production data / recipe / settings required for operation -- because you lose retained values and "actual" tag values. This does assume in the PLC hardware configuration -> Startup -> allow compatible hardware devices (not necessarily the default value).
