Dear Experts,

I face the problem with pop-up window "Totally Integrated Automation Portal has encountered a problem and needs to be closed" I tried to find the solution in Siemens forum but still couldn’t fix it.
Could you please advise me how to fix it?

Installed software:

1. TIA portal V16
2. PLCSIM V16
3. OS: windows 7 Professional (Virtual Machine)

Action before this error occurred:

I opened PLCSIM from TIA V16 then created new project in PLCSIM.
The new project was created successfully with standard S7-1500 then it started uploading from device. Device configured in the TIA is CPU1518-4 PN/DP.
After that a message "Upload aborted while uploading from device" showed at the bottom-right corner together with the pop-up window "Totally Integrated Automation Portal has encountered a problem and needs to be closed"

P.S. Previously, I was able to create the new project in PLCSIM without any error.

What I have already done:

1. Restart Virtual Machine
2. Increase Virtual Machine memory
3. Open the TIA Portal.exe as an administrator
   
4. Repair TIA Portal
5. Uninstall and reinstall PLCSIM
   
6. Uninstall and reinstall TIA Portal as an administrator

But the error is still the same.

If there is any further information needed, please let me know.

I have to wonder why you want to UPLOAD FROM a simulated PLC that you just loaded using TIA Portal.  That's generally only needed when people lose track of projects and/or archives previously used to download to the PLC.

It also has the opportunity to corrupt I/O addressing if the upload uses PLC default I/O addressing but the project creator chose I/O addressing that suited the project needs rather than the defaults - it's why Siemens lets us change them.

It was automatically loading configuration from device during PLCSIM project creation.
I apologize for being unclear.

The steps were quite similar to this video during 09:00-09:30 except it wasn't successful ;(

I already installed the latest TIA V16 Updates but the error still occurs.
I also tried using the new VMware and install the software again (TIA V16, PLCSIM and their latest updates) but the result is the same.

Please find TIA Portal Diagnostics Report of TIA16 Upd6 as attached.

Do you have any idea to fix it?
