Value could not be written to the PLC

I physically connected the screen to the plc communication but when I click on any tag on the screen I get the error "siemens hmı tag value could not be written to the plc" . Does the element (IO Field, button, etc.) have Protection set in its properties? If so, does the logged in user have sufficient authorization to execute it? Within the PLC tag table, is the "Writable from HMI/OPC..." check marked for this tags?
