Hi guys,

First about my project - 

CPU 1214 DC/DC/DC 6ES7 214-1AG40-0XB0 for Curing Furnace with one PID block for heating + MMC 6ES7 954-8LC02-0AA0 with TIA Portal V13. 

It worked for 2 days without problem on my table. Sometimes i made few  little changes, but nothing so much important I think. I don't know what happpend, but now CPU reporting these two errors everytime is card inserted to CPU:

16# 02:4175

16# 02:3956

And I can't to download my project to PLC, because it's reporting:

Loading the hardware configuration failed (0050 79 2 2458).

Without card it's working fine. I tried to find solution following this manual:

Manual from siemens

but I have only S1200 cpu and part "in windows 7" doesn't help me.

Is it even possible to "destroy" new SMC in 2 days by only "software action"?

And by the way - is it REALY only way how to format MMC card from siemens? In this century???

Solution for anybody with same problem, TIA and CPU 1200 only :

Insert card to PC reader, open your project in TIA Portal, open Card Reader/USB memory in left down corner (Project tree), open SD card, folder Program blocks and just drag and drop (copy) all blocks from your program. Same for other folders.

After I puted card back to plc, everything was fine and downloading is working again.

It is STUPID, but this is the only way how to "repair" defected card without format it=without CPU 1500

I'm using CPU 1212C with 24 mb SMC.  SMC is in "program". when I start my project, I could copy my bloks in SMC. But now I can not. Error is "access to memory card denied" and "no memory card inserted or no external power supply available".

I've been working on it since 2 days. if anybody can help me, I will be grateful.

I had a similar issue.

In my case it was not possible to write the memory card with TIA V13 but not with TIA V14 SP1.

Error was "access to memory card denied" and "no memory card inserted or no external power supply available".

I tried to configure the card for firmware update and put an update file on it (idea was a kind of resetting the card) and, after that, I reconfigured the card for Program transfer and deleted the firmware update file from the card.

It solves the issue.

Had the same issue , toggle the PLC to mem- reset and then back to run mode , she is back to run mode.

No more fault!!
