Dear Sir,

Currently, we have a weighing system in our crane. The load value from the crane hoist is available in this weighing system, and we need to read it into our Siemens PLC. This weighing system is a third-party device. They are providing the data through TCP/IP in one register.

On our side, we are using the Modbus client block in the PLC to read this data. But we are facing a fault. The status showsCode: 16#80C8.

The weighing system engineer tested the same using ModScan. By entering the IP address and setting the holding register, they were able to see the values correctly in ModScan. We also configured the same IP address and port number they provided in our PLC. But the communication is not working in PLC.

For your reference, we are using a Siemens CPU 1515R-2 PN (6ES7 515-2RN03-0AB0)redundant CPU. The vendor confirmed that they are only providing data via TCP/IP, and we need to read it. I have attached a photo of the Modbus client block we are using.

Kindly suggest what could be the issue and how we can resolve it.
