If you need to stick with the RF1040R please share the configuration of RF120C.

Does the RF1040R have power? You don't need an external power supply. RF120C can provide power for RF1040R. 6GT2891-6UH20 would be the cable you need.

Have you sucessfully sent a Write Config command (Reset_Reader)?  Did it finish without error? Are you using the technology object?

or

2. Read and write user memory

If 1. is sufficient for your use case, the reader will send the data to RF120C as soon as a transponder is presented. The presence  Bit and LED will indicate new data, that can be obtained using the Read command. 

In this case you'll need to load a configuration into the RF1040R using the config editor.

 This is my first project with such a hardware configuration. I have been trying to do something for 2 days but there are no results. I installed all the programs, tried to configure RF1040r, reread many pdf files but again the result did not go further than what I came here with.

Is 1. (Unidirectional data receipt without using the programming interface) sufficient for your use case? Is the UID or some Bytes of Data all you need?
