SQL Server 2000 installation Failed

girja Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi Experts, I have a Office's PC on which previously WinCC 6.0 i installed. it was running without problem. But after formating my PC I am anable to install SQL Server 2000 SP4. after 70% massege comming "installing software failed, Microsoft Sql server , please reboot your system". I follow this thread http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/22709910 but same result, please help me.

Siemen-Stains Posts: 101 Rating: (0)	WinCC V7 installs SQL 2003, you may have an issue here as i did when installing WinCC Flex using SQL 2002after installing winCC V7. I Found i had to install the earlier version (2002) before the Later version (2003).

Maybe you can recieve more information from it why it fails installing. Or look into file rasetup*.log. If there's an older version installed use Windows Installer Cleanup Utility for uninstallation. This solves many problems I have seen with older versions.
