WinCC beahviour after a power failure

After a power failure it stucks until I go and manually reset the SQL server or excute Project Migration using the WinCC's prject migration tool. How can I make the HMI to start normally after a power failure? Thanks.

This will give you (or your operator) time to shut-down WinCC application in a proper way (= properly close all database files, especially run-time database...). Unexpected shut down of "live" wincc (as for example shut down of PC beacause of power failure) can cause you a lot of problems; iz might happen, that some day, you will no be able to start your WinCC application at all! What I'm using now is the WinCC's tool of Project Migration which will handle this issue and make the project usable. So; if there's a way to use some parts of the Migration process by passing some parameters to it... I'll be happy to make a script and embed it in a startup service to do the job. Thanks again

Uncle Vanya Posts: 28 Rating: (1)	Try to stop the SQL server service NET STOP Servicename. Use UPS eg. APC that can start a batch file before stop the computer that stops the service. Regards Wánya
