Like, in protool, we had a status/force control, in which we can type the I/O/M bits and monitor online whenever reqd. I want the same type of control in wincc?? Has anybody tried this?? The first guy ask: "is it possible to open directly an already provided VAT in a S7 project without opening matching S7 project by managers SIAMTIC?" What I want to know isthe functionality like VAT of simatic manager in Wincc.Generally, on the OS step7 is not installed. Within Protool or HMI panels, with Status/Force control, we can make a screen like VAT in step7 to monitor certain variables though they are not the part of Tag list in the project. Is such a thing possible in Wincc?? Best regards rvk

But you can achieve limited VAT functionality by using I/O fields and FB's. For example you want to display the bit pattern of IB10. You type in IB10 in a WinCCI/O field; the FB detects this and loads the status of IB10 to 8 WinCC tag bits that can be displayed on WinCC. You get the picture? Regards
