common rectifier RS485 communication

In which i want to use 2 wire RS485 communication.On CUR card we have 4 terminals X100:1,2,3 & 4 for RS485 communication. so which terminal i have to use & why ? If i use 2 treminal for send & 2 terminal for receive then what happen? If any one know pleaseprovide me details. Regards, ash12
