gbs Posts: 178 Rating: (5)	Hi Olu, In my opinion you will need to use both C and VBScript. Historically C was the flavour of the day so you will find most WinCC projects in C. Recently VB seems to be the preferred method driven by Siemens. The advantage is that once you are familiar with both languages you will be able to configure a project using both. Cheers,

C-Scripts are not compile directly in WinCC, but interpreted everytime you open a picture and execute a function. There's no "compiled file" after a script is compile. Mike J

Because bad scripts, in either language, will lead to overload and extra CPU processing, and will not take advantage or have the same results as this table shows.
