CP340 ( NEW ORDER NUMER 6ES7340-1CH02-0AE0) IS NOT SUPPORTING WITH CPU 315

Muthkrish Posts: 34 Rating: (0)	Dear Sir One of our customer was using 315 CPU ( 6ES7315-2AF03-0AB0) with CP340( 6ES7340-1CH00-0AE0) for PtP communication. CP 340 got failed and i had supplied new CP340 with the order numer of 6ES7340-1CH02-0AE0, which is using for Temperature Controller. I have modified the type number in H/W configuration too. When i am using new order number CP340 with CPU 315, temperature value is not getting processed with CPU315, i,e values are not getting updated in my HMI system. But, Transfer & Receive LED's are glowing in CP340. In place of new order number CP340, if i put old order number(6ES7340-1CH00-0AE0), i am able to get the updation of Temperature in the field. My CPU version is V1.2.0, even i did Firmware updation of CPU to V1.2.1, but no changes in the temperature value updation. For your reference i had attached Program backup of CPU. fritz Diamond Expert Joined: 10/7/2005 Last visit: 1/12/2026 Posts: 3054 Rating: (1062)	Dear MuthuLee Entry ID: 21627292clearly states that the "1CH02" CP340 is a spare part compatible replacement for the"1CH00" CP340 (and I think we can safely assume that you have a new enough version of Step7 and PtP configuration package to satisfy the requirements for using the "1CH02" CP340). What the above mention link does not mention is that newer versions of the P_RECV_OLD and P_SEND_OLD are available (I haven't verified this, but believe your CPU will NOT supportthe current P_RECV and P_SEND which requireSFB52/53 in your CPU whereas the OLD version use SFC58/59). Anyway, might be worthwhile to replace your V1.0 P_RECV_OLD/P_SEND_OLD with V1.2/V1.3. I hope this helps and good luck (Ican't think of anything else to test, but someone else out there may have a better idea).
