dchartier Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 9/27/2006 Last visit: 1/14/2026 Posts: 12481 Rating: (2722)	Hello samkcr; You should start by looking at the diagnostic buffers of both the CPU and the CP 341; Open HWConfig in Online mode, and double-click on the CPU and then on the CP icons; if they are at fault, they should be marked with a red cross. This will open the diagnostic buffer for each of them. Do it while the SF if lit, the buffer should have information on the cause of the problem. Study the entries, see if they mean anything to you, and copy them to the forum here if you need any help deciphering them. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier

When the initialization phase completes, the SF LED on the CP 341 is on. (Before assigning parameters for the CP 341). And you receive the same error in diagnostic buffer.("Parameters have not been assigned to the module"). I suggest you to look at CP 341 - First Steps in Commissioning manual and start again with parameters. If you receive the same error again after that, might be the module is defected. If you have anothger one - change it and try... Hope this will helps. Best regards Hristo Mihalev

samkcr Posts: 406 Rating: (3)	Hi.. me again.. I purchased new module and replaced the old module.I followed the procedure as per the manual. But this module also i am getting the same SF in cp341. Atlast i decided to change the other module which is working fine.Now i am facing the same problem in this module also.I am in a critical condition to find the problem.I am sure module is not defective.I already the checked the power supply also. So help me to short out this problem..

The problem was solved wit this FAQ http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/17854293 I saw in the screenshots that you have an error in PLC, is that error involved in the 341 error?
