Freeport and printer

triko83 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello. I have the littleproblem. Allready connected a serial printer to the S7-224XP viaRS-232/RS485 decoder. I can configure the printer to print exact what it receives in hex code, and this is how I found out that the characters it receives are not the one I sent. The printer is configured 9600, no parity, 8bit, and so is the SMB30 (port 0) (SMB30 = 2#00001001)configured and in comunication ports is also 9600 on port 0. Also the printer can use both hardware and software handshacking, so I only wired Rx, Tx and GND wires. What could be wrong?

Helmut_13 Posts: 2930 Rating: (432)	Hi, you have to use the RS232 PC/PPI cable to connect the PLC and your printer. Because the PLC hase a RS485 interface. I hope this helps

Arunakat1 Posts: 217 Rating: (52)	Hello, Connect your RS 232 side(Of PPI cable) to your PC (COM port) and using HyperTerminal check weather data comes to HyperTerminal. If it is OK then data sanding is OK from PLC. Best regards,
